    D is for Donut. I thought all morning about something interesting to say about donuts, but beyond the fact that I love them and they are often delicious and Portland, OR, my hometown, is famous for donuts (VooDoo Doughnuts, anyone?), I, well, I couldn’t really think of anything more to say. What more is there to say? They’re fried dough, often of a torus shape, often but not always glazed with frosting or pure sugar. They destroy my diet, and I can’t seem to quit them, but I still love them. I may write another, better, post about something that starts with D later today, depending on time. I have many ideas to choose from. A thought occurs to me: many of the other D candidates are about subjects that are personal in nature. I don’t normally shy from revealing myself in my posts; in fact, I push myself to do so. But for some reason maybe I chose Donuts to avoid talking about these other topics? Food for thought.
