Ol' Barfy
Ol’ Barfy sleeps on the street these days. I caught him moving his bedroll and sack of cans this morning.
I’m both sad for him and annoyed that he chooses the parking lot behind my apartment to wake up in, hacking and coughing.

Not all who wander are lost
As I sit here at breakfast reading Biblical commentary, in the wake of the Pew poll showing atheists generally know more about religion than the religious, it occurs to me that a past assumption of mine may not be correct.
To wit, if I see someone in public reading a Bible or Koran, they may not be Christian or Muslim after all.
I still likely won’t approach them, though. Well… maybe.
